1. What Emberstep is

Emberstep keeps your walking life, whatever watch you wear: badges, streaks and lifetime miles that survive a switch of brand. It is a motivation and personal-history product. It is not a medical device, it gives no diagnosis, treatment or health advice, and you must not rely on it for a clinical decision.

2. Who sells what

  • WaveApp LLC makes Emberstep and licenses it to you.
  • The Apple App Store or Google Play sells the Premium subscription and is the merchant for that payment. Payment, tax, renewal and refunds follow the store's rules; see the refund page.

3. Your licence

You may install and use Emberstep on devices you control, for your own activity history. You must not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or interfere with the app, with store billing or with anyone else's device, and you must not use it to break the law. You must be able to enter a binding agreement where you live.

4. Your content

  • The activity history you import or record stays yours. We claim no rights in it.
  • You must have the right to import the data you bring, for example your own Fitbit, Google Takeout or Apple Health export.
  • Your history never leaves your device. See the privacy page.
  • A badge, streak or total you already earned is never locked because you did not pay. Export is free, always.

5. Paying

  • Free covers the core product: imports, badges, streaks and lifetime totals, with no ads.
  • Premium adds a manual freeze, full backfilled badge crediting, premium templates and the full monthly report. It costs $44.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan, or $6.99 per month with no trial. There is no one-time purchase.
  • The price on the store's checkout screen, in your currency, is the one that counts.
  • Premium renews under the store's rules until you cancel it there. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or billing period ends to avoid the next charge. Restore purchase runs off the store receipt.

6. Our name and artwork

The Emberstep name, the seal, the badge artwork and the product design are ours or our licensors'. Badge names and art are original and are not affiliated with Fitbit, Google, Apple or any other device brand.

7. Changes and availability

We will change features and prices only across releases, never inside one. We do not promise that the app is free of defects or always available; we do promise that an update never removes content you created. Capability given away on Free is never moved behind the paywall later.

8. Ending

You can stop using Emberstep at any time, export your data and run "Delete local data". A purchase you already made stays with the store under its rules.

9. Warranty

Emberstep is provided as is. Step counts, distances and badges depend on the data your watch and health platform supply, and can be wrong or incomplete; check your history before relying on it. Where the law gives you a warranty we cannot exclude, that warranty stands.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, WaveApp LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for anything connected to Emberstep is capped at the greater of US$50 or what you paid for Premium in the 12 months before the claim, as recorded by the store. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not let us limit.

11. Law and disputes

These terms follow the law of the State of Wyoming, United States. If you are a consumer, the mandatory protections and courts of the place where you live still apply. Write to support@emberstep.app first; most problems are settled by email.

12. Changes to these terms

We will tell you about a material change in the app's update notes before it takes effect. If one clause cannot be enforced, the rest stand.
